The client is looking for highly motivated and qualified engineers within the Cloud R&D business unit. This position offers the engineers the opportunity to work on cloud computing as we innovate and build our next generation cloud platform.
The cloud team here is leading researchers and engineers from worldwide to create competitive cloud computing platform. This engineer position enables one to work with our team members with backgrounds in distributed systems, cloud computing, containers etc, as well as collaborating with external partners in academia and industry. We encourage engineers to actively create software/systems for solving real-world problems, delivering innovative solutions, contributing to open-source communities, and publishing high-quality patents.
Job Responsibilities:- Design and implement prototype systems in areas like scheduling, cluster resource management and container orchestration.
- Implement innovative ideas into our cloud computing platform.
- Research on core algorithms in large-scale cloud infrastructure.
- Profile and optimize key components in our software stack.
Qualifications:- Graduate students in Computer Science, or related fields with solid background in computer algorithms.
- 5 - 8 Years of Experience in the industry.
- Experience in distributed systems, cluster management and cloud services. (must have)
- Experience in Linux containers and Docker.(must have)
- Experience in Linux kernel and Linux-based development.(must have)
- Familiar with programming languages of Go (nice to have), C/C++ and script languages (nice to have)
- Familiarity with at least one public cloud platform.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus.(nice to have)
- Self-motivated, inquisitive, and team oriented individual.
Must be able to clearly articulate ideas and concepts to fellow engineers and management.
