Who We Are Looking ForThe Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial accounting activities within the Company. This position requires a highly motivated, "roll-up your sleeves" professional. The primary responsibility will focus on managing the accounting function ensuring accuracy, accountability, and efficiency. The individual will refine processes to help professionalize the business and mitigate risk while also producing detailed reporting and analysis. This is a very hands-on role and one where in addition to standard daily tasks, there will be special projects to assist with or manage.
What You Get to Do- Own various aspects of the monthly financial close process, including inter-company transactions and reconciliations, recording and reviewing journal entries, and researching variances
- Review and supervise all aspects of accounting (accounts receivable, accounts payable and cash activities) at subsidiaries ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Train new associates in standards for RBM and other member sites
- Ensure the Company's financial reporting requirements are accurate, consistent and timely
- Prepare monthly journal entries and supporting schedules and reconciliations
- Support accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
- Provide support during annual Tax and Audit
- Maintain the Company's Accounting systems and recommend opportunities for improvement
- Manage certain month-end close and intercompany activities
- Assist with the preparation of reporting packages
- Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of the organization's financial data
- Operate in a diligent and fact-based style; apply standard processes where needed
- Collaborate with FP&A and other cross-functional teams to gather data, improve processes, and support business needs
- Draft and maintain accounting policies and memos
- Participate in continuous process improvement programs to streamline, document, and automate processes and enhance internal controls
What You Bring to the TeamRequired:- 4+ years of overall accounting experience
- 4-year Undergraduate Degree, preferably in Accounting, Business or Finance
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and guide decisions to improve performance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present executive-level reports and presentations
- Strong Excel skills required
Preferred:- Prior experience with manufacturing and/or Engineering Services
- QuickBooks or ERP experience
Additional Details:- Location: Framingham, MA or Rochester, NY - Hybrid
- The base salary range for this position is $70,008.00 - $105,113.00 per year. This range represents the Company's good faith estimate of the base compensation for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location. Along with base salary, this role may be eligible for annual incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives, subject to Company plans.
