Job Overview

The Senior Staff Accountant supports the accounting function through hands-on involvement in financial reporting, general ledger activity, account reconciliation, and analysis. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in construction accounting and revenue recognition, along with the ability to work independently on complex matters.

The Senior Staff Accountant works collaboratively with the accounting team, project staff, and management, and performs duties with oversight from the Controller. The position is designed for a high-performing individual contributor with increasing responsibility and the opportunity for future advancement.

Senior Staff Accountant Qualifications:
      • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (construction experience preferred)
      • Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS and financial statement preperation
      • Experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis
      • Knowledge of revenue recognition principles; construction or percentage-of-completion experience preferred
      • Knowledge of accounting systems (JD Edwards preferred) and Microsoft Office products
      • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
