Senior Staff AccountantJob SummaryReporting to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Staff Accountant serves as a key contributor within our accounting team - building on the foundational work of our Staff Accountant while taking on greater ownership of the general ledger, month-end close, and process improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who has gained speed and autonomy on day-to-day transactions and begin taking on broader analytical and cross-functional responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities- Own and manage accounts payable and/or accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
- Perform complex account reconciliations and bank reconciliations, independently investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain, reconcile, and analyze general ledger accounts; identify trends and flag issues proactively.
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries with a higher degree of autonomy and accuracy.
- Lead or significantly contribute to month-end and year-end close processes, including financial statement preparation.
- Support audit and tax preparation activities, serving as a reliable point of contact for documentation and inquiries.
- Respond to and resolve vendor and customer inquiries; escalate complex issues appropriately.
- Drive process improvement initiatives - identify inefficiencies and propose and implement solutions.
- Assist with ERP optimization projects and contribute to system enhancements.
- Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests from leadership.
- Contribute to the development of accounting procedures and internal controls documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Oracle. NetSuite experience a plus.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail - you catch the things others miss.

Education & Experience- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 2-6 years of experience in an accounting role, with demonstrated progression in scope and responsibility.
- Experience working in a hyper-growth, manufacturing, or e-commerce environment preferred.
- Familiarity with Power BI and other data visualization tools.
- CPA candidate or actively pursuing CPA license preferred.
