ResponsibilitiesEnsure the integrity of Oracle financials and that internal/external reporting meets the needs of the business as well as generally accepted accounting principles. Ensure monthly close process is completed timely and accurately. Maintain the accuracy of the detail in the general ledger and inflows from subsystems. Provide financial and accounting support for ongoing Oracle developments and process initiatives.
- Responsible for the general ledger system to assure accuracy and compliance with general accounting policies and procedures.
- Perform the role of Oracle Super User for the General Ledger to assure consistent and proficient operation of Oracle applications.
- Participate in and coordinate the preparation of the external audit work papers.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 4-5 years directly related experience
- Knowledge of GAAP, accounting process data flow, general ledger processes/functions, IRS requirements
- Analytical skills to include: Financial statement analysis, monitoring, and measuring.
- Computer Skills to include: Accomplished in the use of spreadsheet software, including pivot tables and formulas; Working knowledge of word processing and e-mail software; Proficient in the use of financial software systems, processes and data flow.
- Communication and teamwork skills to include: Effective verbal and written communications with various levels of staff; Ability to understand and work with ambiguity; Ability to understand and work with conflicting perspectives.
- Project management skills to include: Ability to direct and facilitate project initiatives to completion in a timely manner on budget; Demonstration of efficiency and organization in personal work habits.
