Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off

Job Description:

The System Engineer serves as an experienced technical contributor supporting the development, integration, and delivery of mission focused system solutions. This role participates in defining system requirements, developing system architecture, supporting CONOPS and use case development, and performing system level analysis throughout the engineering lifecycle. The engineer collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure system designs meet mission needs and comply with program requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support the development of system concepts, architectures, CONOPS, and use cases across the system lifecycle.
• Familiarity with defense development lifecycles, milestone review processes, and gated development practices.
• Participate in defining, decomposing, and managing system level requirements and maintaining traceability to subsystems and components.
• Support system design, integration, and verification and validation (V&V) activities, while coordinating with software, firmware, hardware, and cross-disciplinary teams.
• Assist with system level trade studies, performance analyses, and allocation of functional and performance requirements.
• Produce and maintain engineering artifacts such as interface definitions, system diagrams, and architecture documentation.
• Analyze system performance data, identify technical issues, and support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Support internal and customer design reviews, readiness reviews, and technical presentations.
• Collaborate with product owners, program engineers, and mission stakeholders to refine requirements and system designs.
• Communicate technical findings clearly to cross functional engineering teams.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance.

Preferred Skillsets:
• Ability to quickly understand customer missions and assist in CONOPS development.
• Experience with MBSE or digital engineering tools (e.g., Cameo, SysML).
• Familiarity with INCOSE standards.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications.
• Broad knowledge of engineering domains such as electrical, mechanical, RF, software, or hardware.
• Experience using lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Familiarity with Agile development approaches.
• Ability to clearly present technical concepts to mixed technical and non technical audiences.
