Your ImpactSplunk, a Cisco Company, is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Solutions Engineer to join our Manufacturing vertical. In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping our manufacturing customers harness the power of their data to drive digital transformation and operational resilience. You will focus on empowering global manufacturing leaders to secure their digital infrastructure and ensure peak performance through advanced Security (SIEM/SOAR) and Observability (APM/Infrastructure Monitoring) strategies. The ideal candidate is a consultative expert who can translate complex technical telemetry into high-impact business outcomes.
- Technical Partnership: Act as the primary technical lead during the sales cycle, conducting high-level discovery sessions to understand the unique cybersecurity and performance challenges of manufacturing clients.
- Solution Architecture: Design and architect robust Splunk deployments that aggregate data from enterprise IT environments, cloud architectures, and digital business systems to provide unified visibility.
- Value Demonstration: Develop and deliver customized product demonstrations and Proof of Concept (POC) engagements that highlight the value of real-time threat detection, incident response automation, and full-stack observability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Account Executives, Product Management, and Professional Services teams to align Splunk's capabilities with the digital roadmap requirements of the manufacturing sector.
- Thought Leadership: Present at industry conferences and internal forums on the importance of cyber resilience, modern observability, and the role of data analytics in digital transformation.
- Strategic Enablement: Build reusable technical assets, white papers, and demo environments tailored to enterprise security and observability use cases.
Minimum Qualifications5-7 years of experience in Pre-Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Consulting.
Understanding of modern security frameworks (SIEM, SOAR, threat detection) and/or observability principles (APM, infrastructure monitoring, digital experience monitoring).
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for executive-level stakeholders.
Experience working with large-scale data platforms or log management solutions
Communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead technical workshops and whiteboard sessions.
Preferred QualificationsExperience with cloud-native monitoring and security platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Splunk certification or equivalent platform expertise is highly preferred.
Knowledge of modern application architectures, including AI stacks, microservices, containers, and Kubernetes.
Experience in data modeling, scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash), and API integration.
Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards relevant to enterprise IT.
Previous experience working within a global manufacturing organization or a specialized software provider serving the manufacturing industry.
Ability to travel to customer sites to conduct on-site assessments and strategic planning sessions.
