Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to align QA efforts with business objectives.
  • Identify, document, and track defects, working with development for timely resolution.
  • Promote continuous improvement by mentoring other engineers in test design and operational reviews.
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers.

Job Description Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software QA Engineer to join our team and drive comprehensive quality assurance for ModMed's cloud platform and services. This role provides an excellent opportunity to leverage both manual and automation expertise to ensure the development and delivery of reliable, performance, and scalable software releases.

What you'll do
  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases (manual and automated), and test strategies across functional and non-functional areas.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance the automated testing framework using industry best practices.
  • Ensure deliverables meet the functional and non-functional criteria (e.g., performance, security), and drive changes proactively where outcomes are misaligned.
  • Align QA efforts with business objectives by collaborating closely with senior engineers, product managers, and cross-functional team members across geos.
  • Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with development teams for timely resolution.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by guiding other engineers through test design, automation, and operational reviews.
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to junior engineers.


What you'll bring
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 6+ years of Quality Assurance experience, including a minimum of 3 years focused on test automation.
  • Exceptional skills in designing and implementing test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright).
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
  • Experience with testing RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Experience with public cloud services, preferably AWS.
  • Full stack QA experience (UI, API, operations/CI/CD pipelines) is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across functional lines, and cross geo teams.
  • Healthcare Interoperability experience (HL7, FHIR) is advantageous.
