As a
Senior Software Engineer on the
Identity Platform team under Consumer Engineering, you will be a vital member of our core Platform Engineering team. Your mission will be to build, manage, and secure the foundational infrastructure that powers identity services for millions of consumers. You will focus on designing for high resiliency, scalability, and security, ensuring our platforms are available and performant. This role offers the opportunity to work in a highly innovative environment, leveraging automation and cloud-native technologies to solve complex operational and engineering challenges while driving excellence across the software development lifecycle.

Primary Responsibilities:- Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles on AWS, primarily utilizing Terraform
- Use enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate repetitive operational tasks, and drive continuous improvement in code quality and system reliability
- Design and architect solutions with a focus on resiliency, scalability, availability, and security of the identity platform
- Implement comprehensive application alerting and monitoring (APM, Synthetics, and Infrastructure logs) to enhance application availability and performance in production
- Develop automation for support processes and operational tasks to proactively address and resolve technical problems
- Evaluate emerging technology trends and AI productivity capabilities to inform solution design and strategic innovation
- Analyze security threats and patterns using a variety of security and monitoring tools (e.g., AWS WAF, Re-Captcha, and specialized monitoring/alerting suites)
- Execute and review results for performance, resiliency, and capacity testing, collaborating with development teams to prepare and implement action items
- Manage patch management cadences and the delivery of operational tasks, including incidents and problem tickets
- Provide release management and post-deployment support, ensuring quick resolution of unexpected service problems in production
- Collaborate across development and operations teams to implement best practices and achieve key business objectives
- Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of professional software development experience building complex, highly scalable, and reliable software systems in a cloud-native environment
- 3+ years of expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS), with significant experience in EKS, EC2, Lambda, RDS, IAM, KMS, S3, etc.
- 3+ years of engineering experience building infrastructure using code, specifically Terraform
- 3+ years of experience in automation of CI/CD using GitHub Actions or Harness, including advanced Git branching models
- 3+ years of experience with one or more programming languages: Java, Go, Python, Shell Scripting, or JavaScript
- 2+ years of experience utilizing monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, Kibana, Splunk, or OpenSearch
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with Docker containers and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
- Knowledge of Helm, Sonar, and Artifactory
- Familiarity with database technologies such as MySQL or DynamoDB
- Proven ability to leverage modern productivity tools to enhance technical delivery and individual work quality
- Demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a fast-paced, highly innovative environment
Required AI Skills:- All resources are expected to demonstrate baseline proficiency in enterprise-approved AI tools as part of their day-to-day responsibilities. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Consistent Use: Maintain a minimum of 90% weekly usage of AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and other GenAI platforms approved by the enterprise
- Applied Productivity: Leverage AI tools to enhance coding, documentation, data analysis, and decision-making workflows
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with evolving AI capabilities and features, and apply them to improve delivery quality and velocity

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
