Full Job Description

Responsibilities:

Contribute to delivery of technically complex customer facing products involving usage of cloud technology. Design, develop, implement, and deploy customized web and mobile applications, web services, and enterprise solutions using various web development technologies and platforms. Build best-in-class, web and mobile based applications that are reliable and scalable. Define system architectures and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs. Develop cloud software services and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability. Collaborate day to day with small team of software developers. Assist with project estimation, planning, progress and bug tracking. Create task breakdown based on supplied user stories. Write clear, well-commented, easy to understand code. Create and review design specifications. Write automated unit tests. Follow secure development guidelines.

Minimum Requirements        

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field of study and 8 years of progressive experience in Software Engineering.

 

Applicants must have demonstrated experience with the following:

1)      8 years of experience working in Java or equivalent, including Java backend server technology including master-slave configuration, REST APIs, and Android platform;

2)      8 years of experience in design and development of multi-tiered business applications;

3)      8 years of experience working with relational databases (such as SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL);

4)      defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs;

5)      developing cloud software services and designing for scalability, performance and reliability;

6)      working in serverless architecture (AWS Lambda) or container-based architecture (Docker);

7)      building and maintaining complex software that is secure and scalable to millions of users;

8)      object-oriented design and programming;

9)      working with and mitigating the challenges in performance, scaling, throughput and consistency associated with high availability, 24×7 applications and services;

10)  working within an Agile software development process;

11)  Git; and

12)  message brokering architectures (pub/sub queues, and request/response) and data streaming.

Base Pay Range for this position: $184,974-$191,000 per year
