PTC is seeking a self-motivated, results-driven, and experienced full-stack developer to help deliver the next generation of our best-in-class PLM solution. You will join a growing team dedicated to enhancing our Quality Management System (QMS) offerings, building on a strong foundation to provide increased value to our customers. The domain knowledge you develop will be integral to our mission of providing solutions for all aspects of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and you will play a key role in implementing these new features. Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define feature requirements and refine future backlog
  • Deliver performant, high-quality code, adhering to secure coding practices, backed by automated tests
  • Drive continued improvement in code quality through detailed and collaborative code reviews, identifying opportunities for code reuse, and championing necessary automated test coverage
  • Ensure the success and stability of CI/CD infrastructure by the monitoring and support of build pipelines
  • Participate in team design and architecture reviews, providing critical feedback towards establishing a performant and logical framework
  • Build domain knowledge for the collaboration with and support of other product teams
  • Assist Technical Support in triaging and investigating customer reported issues, and provide subsequent recommendations for an appropriate resolution


Skills and Knowledge:
  • Proven time management skills, with the ability to effectively organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Strong written and verbal skills particularly applicable to the creation and support of product teams and internal developer documentation
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and frameworks
  • Proficiency in Java technologies such as JSPs and Spring
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript (TypeScript a plus)
  • Familiarity with asynchronous programming
  • Good understanding of HTML5 and CSS


Experience:
  • Deep experience with an object-oriented programming language such as Java, C++, C#, etc.
  • Strong knowledge in algorithm design, data structures, problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of a modern JavaScript framework such as Angular or React
  • Working knowledge of RESTful web services-based architecture
  • Hands-on experience with test frameworks such as JUnit
  • Good understanding of SQL and relational database concepts
  • Familiarity with agile software development principals


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of applicable experience in full-stack development


PTC carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, which include a candidate's background and experience, in determining salary for a position. Compensation will vary based on these factors, but PTC anticipates the annual salary range for this position to be between $130,000-135,000. The actual pay may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, candidates may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Every PTC employee has the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program which allows employees to purchase discounted PTC stock and, for eligible roles, an equity grant. Subject to the terms and conditions of PTC's benefits programs, employees may be eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance, paid time off and sick leave policies, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) contributions and employer match, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability coverage and a generous commuter subsidy.
