Your Job

As a Senior Software Engineer, this person will lead application design in Python for test frameworks, optical transceiver system and parametric tests. This Engineer will also c reate architecture of test software and stations through design, layout, hardware integration, and software validation.

What You Will Do
  • Developing software and applications in Python for optical product testing and evaluation.
  • Architecting and developing test software in an NPI environment, with delivery of final solutions to a mass production environment.
  • Design of complex test framework architecture and data manipulation to facilitate easy storage and retrieval of parameter data, including integration of MES and Database systems.
  • Generating robust error handling, logging and reporting systems to assist in accurate diagnostics of test issues, yields or equipment discrepancies.
  • Design and implementation of automated systems to optimize software based on data analysis using methods such as parallel distributed process models.
  • Manage activities for test station validation and Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R).
  • Manage processes changes via Change Request Boards (CRB) and Design Engineering Work Orders (EWO).
  • Technical analysis of optical parametric data for process and cycle time improvements.
  • Work within the New Product Introduction (NPI) team and deliver to the Product Development Lifecycle (PDL) process for gate deliverables and data analysis.
  • Support of manufacturing ramps for continuous sustaining and improvements.
  • Managing complex and technical optical test related projects.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related technical field
  • Must have 3 years of experience developing software and application in Python for product testing optical and evaluation
  • Architecting and developing test software in an NPI environment, with delivery of final solutions to a mass production environment.
  • Design of complex test framework architecture and data manipulation to facilitate easy storage and retrieval of parameter data, including integration of MES and Database systems.
  • Software and test process optimization and improvements in a mass production environment
  • Design and implementation of automated systems to optimize software based on data analysis using methods such as parallel distributed process models.
  • Experience performing code reviews/analysis to optimize code development and ensure adherence to test development requirements
  • Full understanding of Gitlab and Gitflow process, implementing CI/CD
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence for tracking and documentation
  • Knowledge of production test environments (GRR, SPC, OCAP, 8D, etc.)


For this role, we anticipate paying $140,000 - $190,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
