This position is eligible for a Sign-on Bonus: $25,000Primary Responsibilities- Design, develop, and enhance secure software applications and systems
- Integrate new software into evolving operational environments
- Analyze user needs to craft efficient and scalable solutions
- Debug and optimize existing software for performance and reliability
- Implement complex algorithms that meet rigorous technical standards
- Create and maintain system documentation and technical reports
- Collaborate in Agile Scrum teams to deliver rapid, high-quality releases
Basic Qualifications- Masters and 15+ years of software engineering experience on comparable programs or Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline and 17+ years of related experience
- Common software development tools such as Git, Kira, Confluence and other Atlassian Products
- Experience with Linux Command Line
- Recent experience with Java or similar programming language
- Basic understanding of Container Technologies such as Docker
- Basic understanding of web development and APIs
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
- Willingness to learn new software and technologies related to backend or frontend development
- Security Clearance Requirement: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph
Required Technical Skills:- Experience with Spring Boot
- Experience with JavaScript, ReactJS specifically
- Experience with Apache Kafka
- Experience with Apache Nifi
- Understanding of Docker/Docker Compose
- Experience with build tools, such as Maven
- Experience with SQL databases
