Position Description:

This role must be filled on the client site 5 days per week in Pittsburgh PA.

Join a high impact enterprise development team building modern, cloud native applications using Java 17+, Spring Boot, Kafka, Angular 18+, and OpenShift. You'll have the opportunity to solve complex business problems, influence technical design, and work across the full software lifecycle-from development and testing through CI/CD and production delivery. Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and debug enterprise software applications.
. Provide detailed technical designs for software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms.
. Design scalable software solutions that address complex business and customer needs.
. Develop enterprise applications using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
. Build and integrate event driven solutions using Kafka.
. Develop and support front end applications using Angular 18+.
. Implement secure application functionality using Spring Security and the broader Spring Framework.
. Develop data access components using Spring Data and integrate applications with Oracle databases.
. Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines using Jenkins and CI/CD practices.
. Deploy and support cloud native applications within OpenShift environments.
. Create and execute unit, integration, and application testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
. Participate in release management and application delivery activities.
. Identify opportunities to improve development, design, testing, and deployment processes.
. Prepare and maintain technical, procedural, and application documentation.
. Troubleshoot production and non production application issues and implement appropriate fixes.
. Collaborate with cross functional teams to solve complex technical problems and deliver customer focused solutions.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. 6-8 years of professional software development experience.
. Strong enterprise application development experience using Java, including Java 17 or later.
. Hands on experience with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework.
. Experience developing data access layers using Spring Data.
. Experience implementing application security using Spring Security.
. Strong experience with Kafka and event driven or messaging based application architectures.
. Experience developing modern web applications using Angular 18+.
. Experience working with Oracle databases, including application/database integration.
. Experience with Jenkins and automated CI/CD pipelines.
. Hands on experience deploying applications to OpenShift.
. Experience developing and delivering cloud native applications.
. Strong understanding of software development, testing, debugging, deployment, and maintenance practices.
. Experience designing technical solutions for complex business requirements.
. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively within collaborative development teams.

. Experience identifying and implementing software design and development process improvements.
. Experience with release management and coordinating application releases across environments.
. Knowledge of UX design principles and the ability to incorporate user experience considerations into technical solutions.
. Strong understanding of customer needs and experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
. Experience partnering with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and other technology teams.
. Exposure to business management concepts and the ability to understand the business impact of technology decisions.
. Experience designing highly scalable, resilient, and maintainable enterprise applications.
. Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
. Experience working in large, complex enterprise technology environments.
. Ability to evaluate and adopt emerging technologies where they can improve application delivery, quality, or performance.

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 $198,400.00.
