Position OverviewAs a Software Engineer Sr within PNC's Lending Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH or Dallas, TX.
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and deliver scalable, high‑quality applications using modern Java-based technologies. This role focuses on developing microservices, integrating enterprise platforms, and contributing to a collaborative Agile environment. Responsibilities will include:
• Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Building and supporting microservices-based architectures that are scalable, resilient, and loosely coupled
• Developing and integrating RESTful APIs for internal and external systems
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams within Agile frameworks to deliver high-quality solutions
• Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to improve deployment efficiency and reliability
• Managing source control and code quality using tools such as Bitbucket and automated pipelines
• Utilizing build tools like Maven or Gradle for dependency management and application packaging
• Troubleshooting and optimizing applications using monitoring tools such as Dynatrace
• Integrating with API management and gateway solutions including Apigee and DataPower
• Working with relational and non-relational databases to design efficient data models and queries
• Participating in code reviews, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives

Pay TransparencyBase Salary: $86,250.00 – $158,125.00
Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
