Who are you?

Security-cleared Professional: An active Top Secret (TS) Clearance is required to be considered for this position.

Education and Experience: You have a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of related experience in development with the following:
  • Experience creating and maintaining data applications and tools that support the data integration process.
  • Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and assisting agencies with Web Services Description Languages (WSDLs), Java KeyStore (JKSs), security certificates, and encryption usage.
  • Has worked with web services, including SOAP and RESTful protocols, is essential.
  • Strong background in developing and troubleshooting software tools, applications, and utilities using languages such as Python, Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP), and JavaScript, as well as configuring and maintaining computer systems across Windows, Unix, and Linux platforms.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining software data integration tools, requiring experience in Java, Python, and C#. The Contractor must have experience in creating and maintaining databases, including PostgreSQL, Linux SQL, SQLite, PL/SQL, T-SQL, and Oracle.
  • Proficient in configuring thin client executable code that utilizes SFTP to send XML files is necessary, along with experience in installing and configuring Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) web servers, both in the cloud and on-premises, to handle static and dynamic web content and manage Java Servlets and JSP, such as Apache Tomcat and Apache HTTP Server.
  • Experience with transforming languages and schemas, including XML, XSLT, XSD, and DTD, and must have knowledge of maintaining and troubleshooting various Java applications while creating Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to facilitate information sharing efforts.
  • Experience producing data integration applications from various data sources to a specified XML data format, using data standards and validation tools, and maintaining and troubleshooting SFTP data connections are also key responsibilities.
  • Has hands-on experience with cloud architecture, particularly FedRAMP-compliant Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure Cloud, as well as knowledge of LE data and IEPD specifications, is required.

What you'll do:

The Senior Software Engineer (Data Integration Specialist) shall oversee the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization. The Senior Software Engineer shall be responsible for installing and upgrading computer components and software, managing virtual servers, and integrating automation processes. The Senior Software Engineer shall troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing issues, and assessing their impact. The Senior Software Engineer shall develop, maintain, and utilize automated tools to support all components of data integration services, as well as support and maintain web services and SFTP connections. Furthermore, Senior Software Engineer role involves developing and using various ETL products and other automated data integration tools, recommending and implementing standardization in the data integration process, developing, maintaining, and upgrading existing data integration projects, including new vendor solutions.
