Role OverviewAs a Software Engineer at TP ICAP you will be part of a talented team delivering business critical software for the internal broking division and their external customer base.
You will work within an Agile environment, from design through to implementation, with a strong focus on continuous improvement whilst working collaboratively as part of self-organising, cross-functional team with a focus on continuous integration and deployment.
Role Responsibilities
- Build, test and maintain frontend features using React and TypeScript.
- Follow established component, state-management and data-flow patterns.
- Create responsive, accessible interfaces for data-intensive workflows.
- Integrate with GraphQL APIs, including real-time subscriptions.
- Write automated unit, integration and browser tests.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews and technical investigations.
- Investigate defects and production issues, seeking support where necessary.
- Take responsibility for the quality and delivery of assigned work.
- Communicate progress, risks and dependencies clearly.
- Contribute to documentation and continuous improvement.
Experience / CompetencesEssential
- Commercial experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
- Experience building reusable, maintainable frontend components.
- Experience with GraphQL queries, mutations and subscriptions.
- Experience using AG Grid to build data-intensive user interfaces.
- Understanding of state management using Redux or a similar library.
- Experience writing automated unit, integration or browser tests.
- Understanding of frontend performance, accessibility and web security.
- Experience with Git and modern frontend development tools.
- Good problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.
Desired
- Experience with WebSockets or other real-time data technologies.
- Experience using Material UI, Ant Design or another component library.
- Familiarity with monorepos, Storybook and frontend observability.
- Exposure to financial markets or other data-intensive applications.
- Familiarity with C#/.NET, relational databases or AWS
