Weekly Schedule: Monday- Friday, 9am-5pm

The Senior Development Engineer will plan, design, develop, configure, document, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain First Horizon software applications and services. The successful candidate should be innovative, energetic and comfortable leading and contributing to provide the most astonishing of customer experiences. The senior development engineer will lead and collaborate as a member on a team of developers, business analysts, product managers, and QA/testing staff focused on delivering a secure and top-notch new digital experience for our internal and external customers. The role responsibilities will include development, maintenance, and support of the Internet Banking applications. The candidate should be able to bring technical expertise and industry best practice to the development team to ensure outstanding software development and delivery. Further, the candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team to develop features and capabilities as well as resolve issues or defects.

Required and Preferred Technical Skills:
  • Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills and experience with the web technology stack is required
  • Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, TSS, Node.js
  • Expertise in React, TailwindCSS, NextJS or similar frameworks
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks like Jest, Playwright, or Cyprus
  • Expertise with responsive and mobile design, Cross browser development, and use of APIs
  • Experience in Web services including SOAP and REST
  • Advanced knowledge of source control and change control practices with a propensity to adhere to the established standards
  • Experience with build automation and deployment tools (Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
  • Experience deploying applications in a containerized, cloud environment (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • Development experience with web applications deployed in complex, multi-tiered environments
  • Knowledge of SQL Queries and Stored Procedures is a plus
  • Dynatrace expertise would be a bonus
  • Financial Services experience a plus
