About the RoleDIT-MCO International is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain software used in advanced automated test equipment. In this role, you will lead software development efforts from concept through deployment, working closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions.
This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, working at the intersection of software and hardware, and taking ownership of technical outcomes.
What You'll Do- Research, design, and develop computer and network software and specialized utility programs
- Analyze user and system requirements to create effective software solutions
- Lead software projects from concept through completion, ensuring quality and performance
- Oversee software architecture and design for new product development
- Develop and implement software using Microsoft .NET and Visual Studio (C#)
- Support and maintain both new and legacy software used in automated test equipment
- Work with hardware engineers to integrate software and hardware systems
- Ensure system specifications and performance requirements are clearly understood and met
- Collaborate with product management, project management, engineering teams, and customers
- Develop, deploy, and support software as assigned
- Guide and mentor team members through knowledge sharing and technical leadership
- Assist with troubleshooting analog and digital hardware as it relates to software systems
Requirements
Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Minimum of five years of experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role.
- Demonstrated expertise developing web applications within popular frameworks, with a strong command of software design and development in a test-driven environment.
- Proven experience applying Agile development methodologies, including leading or guiding Agile practices within a team.
- Advanced proficiency in database management, SQL, and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks.
- Specific and related industry experience, in addition to analog and digital hardware troubleshooting skills.
Skills- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, quality, and efficiency.
- The ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and confidentially.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make timely and informed decisions.

Primary Job Duties- Own software architecture and design decisions for new products, from conception through completion.
- Lead the design of algorithms and flowcharts, in collaboration with other developers.
- Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications, within a test-driven development environment.
- Integrate software components into fully functional software systems and oversee verification and deployment.
- Ensure clear understanding of system specifications and requirements across the project team.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in essential core technologies.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing and legacy software.
- Gather and evaluate user feedback; recommend and drive execution of improvements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for reference and reporting.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Project Managers, other engineers, other departments, and customers to drive innovation, solve complex problems, and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Guide and mentor team members by providing constructive feedback, offering growth opportunities, and sharing knowledge and expertise.
- Lead by example, demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
- Supervise or train project team members, as necessary.
