OverviewThe Senior Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications and systems that support business objectives. This role serves as a technical leader within the engineering team, driving best practices, mentoring developers, and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. The Senior Software Engineer collaborates closely with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and innovation.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software applications and services.
- Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions.
- Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Review code and provide mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software defects and production issues.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps initiatives.
- Implement and maintain security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
- Document technical designs, processes, and system architecture.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 6+ years of software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software architecture.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized applications.
- Knowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
- Experience in financial services, insurance, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development.
- Cloud certifications or other relevant technical certifications.
- Experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineering teams.
The expected salary range for this role is USD $100,200.00 - USD $125,000.00 Yr.
