What is the opportunity?

Manages production support activities for Business Transaction Reporting Application for commercial clients. Fix application bugs, troubleshooting production issues, participate in incident and problem management. Introducing automation as part of continual improvement program using AI. Develop and manage software development projects or assignments

What will you do?
  • Monitor and investigate production issues, JCL Batch job executions, troubleshoot failures, and ensure timely resolutions to maintain smoot operations.
  • Fix vulnerabilities, upgrade and maintain technical debt and fixing bugs.
  • Develops and tests software solutions, frameworks, and tools of moderate complexity, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical standards.
  • Collaborates with cross functional teams to design and implement solutions to resolve moderately complex issues and improve processes.
  • Analyzes system requirements and contributes to the creation of technical strategies, offering recommendations to enhance functionality and operational efficiency.
  • Leads software development tasks or projects requiring advanced problem solving and decision making, navigating ambiguity.
  • Resolves software development related problems independently by identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions that enhance efficiency within scope of responsibility.
  • Maintains and enhances relationships with internal teams and external contacts to deliver measurable business outcomes.


What do you need to succeed?
  • Hands-on experience developing and supporting cloud based applications. (Spring Boot and React or similar front-end frameworks
  • Proficiency in Node.js or Python, and SQL with familiarity in relational databases
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs with multi-system integration
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing concepts, and Agile delivery practices
  • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (OpenShift, AWS S3, or Azure) and comfort working with different environments
  • Fast learner who is results-oriented, self-motivated, and effective working both independently and in a team


Must-have
  • Equivalent Bachelors degree with in Computer science
  • 4 + years of experience developing and providing applications support to Java based applications on different platforms
  • 2+years hands-on experience with Angular 6+ and TypeScript
  • Experience working with both onshore and offshore resource
  • Core Java/JEE with Spring/Spring Boot; build REST APIs, data access via JPA/JDBC.
  • Integration: JMS/IBM MQ, REST/SOAP consumption; SQL optimization on DB2/Oracle.
    DevOps: Maven/Gradle, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, Git; scripting (Shell/Python); container/OpenShift exposure is a plus.
  • DB: Mongo DB and Oracle DB
  • Observability and support: Splunk/ELK, metrics dashboards , Dynatrace.


Nice-to-have
  • Good to have: Python, Mongo DB
  • WebSphere Application Server: deployment/config, performance tuning (JVM/GC, thread/connection pools),
