  • Write clean, well-documented and testable code for our Ocean software tools.
  • Contribute to the open-source Ocean SDK, its sub-packages and work on QPU development tools.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients, building and adapting examples and tutorials to both internal and external users.
  • Support internal research teams, D-Wave customers, and the quantum computing developer community by maintaining, testing and writing high quality code for open and closed source software.

About You

  • Experience working with open-source software, with a demonstrated track record of contributions to open-source or customer facing software.
  • Enthusiastic about high-quality, maintainable code and documentation. Willingness to work together with internal teams on upgrading the user experience and quality of our open-source tools.
  • Effective technical communication skills; expect to work 1-on-1 with our clients and internal teams.
  • Excellent Python and C++ skills, including experience with package maintenance and build tools for both, and an understanding of how programming languages function under the hood.
  • Experience incorporating builds and tests into a continuous integration platform like CircleCI, Appveyor, Jenkins and/or Travis.
  • Experience working on end-to-end software projects; from architecture to implementation and documentation.
  • Familiarity with linear algebra, graph theory and combinatorial optimization a plus.
