Position: Senior Site Data Administrator
i-80 Gold Corp is seeking a candidate to fill the position of Senior Site Data Administrator. The DBA will be responsible for designing, creating, implementing, and curating site data for the various aspects of technical services, operations short interval control, and reporting.
Location: Granite Creek Mine (Golconda, NV)
Responsibilities
• Demonstrate i80 company core values.
• Coordinate with IT department and i80 database administrators and stakeholders to install, design, and maintain database system software and implement database security.
• Coordinate with IT department and i80 database administrators in Azure application design, function and deployment
• Data validation from numerous 3rd parties against in-house data.
• Incorporating in-house and 3rd party data into a standardized company format.
• Managing user rights and logging usage with associated changes and transparent communication to necessary functional team managers.
• Reporting of basic metrics associated with data imports and validations.
• Monitor and analyze database performance, identify database current and future performance bottlenecks, and ensure effective and efficient utilization of database systems/processes. Work with development teams to tune and optimize queries.
• Develop, implement, and test database backup and recovery policies and procedures.
• Document site database policies, procedures, and standards aligned with overarching i80 standards.
• Provide technical guidance on all stages of database implementation and/or database-related deployments, including development and maintenance of strategic, architectural, and tactical plans for the database environments
• Troubleshoot performance and non-performance related issues either independently or in conjunction with other DBAs.
• Manage technology projects from initiation to completion.
• Participate in continuous business process redesign to improve internal operations
Qualifications
• Data migration and translation from various sources to company formats
• A bachelor's degree in information technology\Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• 2+ years of experience with database administration with a focus on MS SQL
• 2+ years of experience with AcQuire software and design (GUI)
• Extensive experience with query tuning and database performance optimization
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with SQL platform
• Experience in SQL Server High Availability, Log Shipping and Replication
• Experience in automation and managing large database environments
• Experience in scripting
• Strong communication and writing skills to manage stakeholder relationships in a challenging & high-pressure environment
