Job Description:Job Description - ServiceNow Engineer- Day to Day Job Duties: (what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis)
- Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications and modules, including ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, CSM, and custom applications.
- Develop workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, catalog items, record producers, and Service Portal solutions to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather requirements, analyze processes, and implement scalable ServiceNow solutions.
- Configure and support integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, and other integration technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, incidents, defects, and performance bottlenecks while ensuring system stability and reliability.
- Participate in platform upgrades, patching activities, and release management processes, ensuring minimal impact to business operations.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, solution designs, knowledge articles, and operational runbooks.Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to ServiceNow development best practices, governance standards, and security requirements.
- Support Agile development activities including sprint planning, backlog grooming, estimation, testing, and deployment.
- Work closely with platform administrators, architects, and support teams to continuously improve ServiceNow capabilities and user experience.
Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required to this job with minimum years of experience on each)- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development and administration.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience implementing and supporting ITSM modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Service Catalog Management.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience with JavaScript, Glide API, ServiceNow scripting, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Script Includes.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience developing integrations using REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, IntegrationHub, and MID Server.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience with ServiceNow Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, and Automation solutions.
- Experience with ServiceNow platform upgrades, update sets, application lifecycle management, and release deployments.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow data model, CMDB, and platform architecture
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Nice to Have; (But not a must)- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
- Experience with ITOM, Discovery, Service Mapping, Asset Management, HRSD, CSM, or SecOps modules.
- Experience with ServiceNow AI, Virtual Agent, Predictive Intelligence, and Automation Engine.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Project Lead or Technical Lead experience.
- Experience working in large enterprise environments with global ServiceNow implementations.
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and source control tools such as Git.
NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this remote role is $65-$74.38/hour. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
