Job DescriptionThe Senior Security Manager will support the Command Security Manager with security program administration, clearance verification, Security Clearance Access Rosters, sensitive-area access control, SCIF stand-up and management, security incident inquiries, Security Assistance Visits, and open-storage or secure-area accreditation requirements.
This is a SOFA-supported overseas position located in Wiesbaden, Germany. Eligible family members may accompany the employee.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of goals and objectives integrating organization security management and oversight objectives, as directed by the Command Security Manager.
- Assist in establishing, revising, or reviewing policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for mission support operations.
- Provide guidance and support to workforce personnel and staff on access control and badging requirements for sensitive areas.
- Assist the Command Security Manager with required security verification actions, including DD Form 2875.
- Assist with development and sustainment of Security Clearance Access Rosters for sensitive areas.
- Support the stand-up, management, administration, and sustainment of SCIFs, secure areas, and open-storage environments.
- Assist with SCIF accreditation, inspections, documentation, access control, physical security requirements, and ongoing compliance.
- Plan and schedule work to support smooth workflow, resource management, customer needs, and organizational objectives.
- Assist in implementation and administration of the Information Security Program under applicable DoD and U.S. Army policy guidance.
- Provide direction on classified document marking, safeguarding, use, personnel access controls, need-to-know criteria, physical storage and control, transmitting, and transferring.
- Conduct preliminary inquiries and investigations for known or suspected security incidents at the direction of the Command Security Manager.
- Conduct Security Assistance Visits and site visits supporting open-storage accreditation requirements under Army policy.
- Develop, evaluate, maintain, and operate systems, policies, devices, procedures, and methods for safeguarding classified information, property, and materials.
- Support security clearance processing and personnel security program management.
- Verify clearance, access, and eligibility information using DISS, Scattered Castles, and other authorized personnel security systems.
- Maintain collateral security rosters and Security Clearance Access Rosters.
- Manage NATO classified programs and prepare NATO courier orders, as required.
- Produce and issue security badges.
- Process initial and periodic security clearance actions.
- Verify individual security clearance information.
- Execute security briefings, reports, and related security requirements.
- Recommend updates and improvements to security processes and procedures.
- Maintain and document applications used to manage classified holdings.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience; OR associate's degree with additional experience, approximately 14+ years total; OR no degree with additional experience, approximately 16-18+ years total.
- Senior-level experience in security management, personnel security, information security, SCIF management, or comparable DoD security program support.
- Experience supporting a Command Security Manager, Special Security Officer, personnel security office, G2/security office, or comparable DoD security enterprise.
- Experience standing up, managing, administering, or sustaining SCIFs, secure areas, or open-storage environments.
- Experience with SCIF accreditation, inspections, access control, documentation, physical security requirements, and compliance support.
- Experience using DISS and Scattered Castles to verify clearance, access, eligibility, and personnel security information.
- Experience with personnel security processes, clearance verification, access control, badging, classified material control, and security documentation.
- Experience maintaining collateral security rosters, Security Clearance Access Rosters, or similar security access-control records.
- Knowledge of DoD and U.S. Army security policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to support security briefings, reports, inspections, inquiries, and administrative security requirements.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Germany SOFA / Technical Representative status.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with NATO classified programs, NATO courier orders, and multinational security requirements.
- Experience supporting Open Storage accreditation, secure-area administration, Security Assistance Visits, and site visits.
- Experience conducting preliminary inquiries or assisting with investigations for known or suspected security incidents.
- Experience with DD Form 2875 processing, access rosters, classified holdings management, and security-related automated systems.
- Advanced experience with DISS, Scattered Castles, SCIF lifecycle management, and security access-control processes.
- Familiarity with SAP, STO, ACCM, or other special access security environments.
- CI-scope polygraph preferred if required for SAP/STO/ACCM support.

- This is a SOFA-supported overseas assignment in Wiesbaden, Germany. Eligible family members may accompany the employee.

- Must be able to support time-sensitive security requirements, customer priorities, site visits, access-control actions, SCIF administration, and mission-driven deadlines.
- May require support outside normal duty hours based on mission or customer requirements.
- May include local/site travel and TDY based on operational or customer requirements.
