You'll be working with a skilled team of developers and security architects to build and deploy highly scalable security solutions across On-Premises data centers and Cloud environments.

The team is responsible for executing a Security-As-A-Service strategy through designing, building, and rolling out API integrations and automations for critical RBC Security platforms. This role involves coordination, development, communication, and execution to ensure objectives are accomplished on time and to specification. As a developer within the Security DevOps and Automation team, you will design and implement software solutions focused on transitioning to a SAST platform within the CI/CD pipeline, with emphasis on Python for logic and automation.

What will you do?

  • SAST/CI-CD Integration: Transition and implement SAST platforms within CI/CD pipelines, ensuring frequent updates and robust security testing throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Deployment and Integration: Build and maintain deployment pipelines to cloud platforms (e.g., OpenShift, AWS, Azure), containerize and deploy applications, and integrate security tools with existing infrastructure.
  • Proactive Security Monitoring: Enhance security through proactive measures, implementing monitoring solutions that identify and mitigate threats before they impact operations.
  • Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis: Perform root-cause analysis for production issues and provide solutions while managing risks, assumptions, and constraints.
  • Enterprise Expansion: Scale automation capabilities beyond cyber teams to broader IT and business units, building influence and impact across key business partners.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Establish strong working relationships across business units to support integration projects from requirements gathering through implementation and post-launch support.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:
  • 3+ years of Python development experience (essential for automation and platform development)
  • Cybersecurity Expertise: Proven hands-on experience in cloud security, SOC engineering, endpoint protection, and malware/attack testing. Demonstrated passion through participation in security initiatives
  • Proven expertise supporting SOAR platforms
  • CI/CD & SRE Proficiency: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices
  • Strong understanding of security tools (Firewalls, IPS/IDS, EDR, XDR)
  • Experience with public and private cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenShift)
  • Previous experience implementing SRE best practices and working with system monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana or Prometheus.
  • Proven experience integrating 3rd party systems via API
  • Prior experience with Unix command line/CLI, Docker, and Podman
  • Knowledge of software development best practices (code standards, reviews, testing methodologies)
  • Demonstrated skills with Jira and Confluence

Nice to Have:
  • Experience with, Lang Chain and Lang Graph and experience and exposure vector databases, LLMs and RAG pipelines
  • Cybersecurity related certifications from recognized organizations such as ISC2, CompTia or others.

We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.
  • A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses and flexible benefits, competitive compensation, commissions, and stock where applicable
  • Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities
  • Support from a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high performing team, as well as world-class tools and training
  • Ability to make a difference and lasting impact
