Responsibilities

TikTok is seeking a Senior IT Compliance Analyst plays a central role in maturing and standardizing the organization's IT control environment to support regulatory compliance obligations for online platforms. Working across the full control lifecycle - from scoping and discovery through assessment, testing, gap remediation, and external audit defense - this role partners with Global Legal/Compliance, Product, and Engineering stakeholders to ensure that in-scope systems and processes are governed by robust, testable, and continuously improving controls. The role spans three primary General IT Control (i.e., GITC) domains: Access Management, Change Management, and System Monitoring. It balances near-term audit readiness with the longer-term objective of building a sustainable, automated control environment that scales with business growth. Responsibilities 1. Strategy & Governance - Support the GITC strategy, audit readiness roadmap, and control maturity initiatives. - Track remediation of control gaps, including ownership, status, target dates, and dependencies. - Identify opportunities to improve automation, scalability, and consistency across GITC processes. 2. System Discovery & Scoping - Support periodic system scoping activities to identify new, modified, and decommissioned in-scope systems. - Support cross-functional system discovery workshops to understand business processes and identify key systems. 3. Control Operations & Execution - Support internal assessment, evidence gathering, and audit demonstration of Access Management, Change Management, and System Monitoring controls across in-scope systems. - Support execution of periodic User Access Reviews to ensure inappropriate access is identified and revoked in a timely manner. - Assist in enforcing Segregation of Duties requirements between change developers, approvers, and migrators. - Help formalize governance over in-scope alarms, including monitoring alarm changes, access to alert configurations, and timely alert handling. 4. Audit Readiness & Testing - Support internal readiness reviews and mock audits across GITC domains. - Extract, validate, and maintain testing populations for in-scope systems and control domains. - Prepare evidence and support testing activities for internal stakeholders and external auditors. 5. Gap Remediation & External Audit Support - Facilitate, validate, and retest remediation activities to confirm audit readiness and timely closure of control gaps. - Support external audit execution by coordinating evidence requests, auditor inquiries, walkthroughs, and follow-ups.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: - Demonstrated working knowledge of General IT Controls across the three core domains: Access Management: access provisioning workflows, periodic access reviews, authentication mechanisms, privileged access management, role-based access control, and security classification frameworks. Change Management: SDLC controls, change approval workflows, segregation of duties in CI/CD environments, code repository governance, protected branch configurations, and emergency/minor change policy design and System Monitoring: alarm/alert management, SLA-based incident response, monitoring dashboards, alarm inventory governance, and configuration management for alerting systems. - Ability to understand technical system architectures and read code repository configurations, CI/CD pipeline settings, and monitoring configurations. Understanding of data flow analysis techniques for complex, multi-system environments. - Experience with system discovery, process flow mapping, control narrative/template development, and audit population extraction. - Proven track record in successfully developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive compliance programs at scale with experience engaging directly with regulators, external auditors, or supervisory bodies - Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to translate complex legal and technical concepts into clear, actionable advice for diverse technical and non-technical audiences. - Demonstrated ability to work independently, effectively manage multiple competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous environment. Preferred Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in IT audit, SOX/GITC controls, IT compliance, or information security assurance roles within a regulated industry - Bachelor's degree in Law, Computer Science, Information Security, Business Administration, or a closely related field. - Familiarity with EU regulatory frameworks (e.g., Digital Services Act (DSA), GDPR, Online Safety Act, etc.) or comparable digital platform regulation. - Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data analysis. - Industry experience in technology or social media. - Relevant professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, or CIPP/E.

[For Pay Transparency]Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $111600 - $162000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
