Position SummaryQnity Electronics is seeking an innovative
Senior Scientist to join our Semiconductor Technologies Lithography team in Marlborough, MA. In this role, you will lead the development of next-generation spin-on photolithography materials and processes that enable advanced semiconductor manufacturing.
Working closely with cross-functional R&D, engineering, and commercial teams, you will drive new product development from concept through commercialization, helping deliver industry-leading lithography solutions for the world's most advanced semiconductor applications.
This is a 100% onsite position based in Marlborough, MA.Please note: Sponsorship is not available now or in the future for this opportunity.
What You Will Do- Develop next-generation spin-on photolithography formulations and processes for semiconductor manufacturing.
- Build a strong understanding of structure-property relationships to accelerate material innovation and product performance.
- Lead and contribute to new product development projects from concept validation through scale-up and commercialization.
- Collaborate with customers to evaluate early-stage materials, gather feedback, and refine product performance.
- Apply data-driven problem-solving and analytical techniques to identify and overcome technical challenges.
- Establish project plans, manage technical execution, and deliver against project milestones and business objectives.
- Generate, document, and protect intellectual property that supports Qnity's technology leadership.
- Analyze and communicate technical data through reports, presentations, and project updates.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify emerging technologies, market trends, and innovation opportunities.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Proven track record of safe laboratory practices and experimental methodology.
- Demonstrated technical achievements in research, product development, or materials innovation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across global, multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of post-Ph.D. industry or research experience.
- Experience in formulation design and advanced materials product development.
- Semiconductor, photolithography, photoresist, polymer, or related materials experience.
- Project leadership experience in a global or cross-functional environment.
- Customer-facing technical support or customer collaboration experience.
- Experience with project management, Lean Innovation, or stage-gate product development processes.
- Experience developing intellectual property strategies and patent portfolios.
