Job Description:Senior Scientist, Computational Biology- Oncology Translational ResearchWe are seeking a highly motivated senior scientist to join our translational research team based in Spring House, PA, Cambridge, MA, La Jolla, CA.
Position SummaryThe Senior Scientist, Computational Biology- Oncology Translational Research, will be responsible for analysis, interpretation and integration of complex, multimodal omics, biomarker, and clinical data. The individual will apply rigorous AI-enabled bioinformatics, statistical, and machine-learning approaches to generate insights that meaningfully inform oncology clinical development, while partnering closely with Translational Research Leaders, Clinical Development, Statistics, Programming, Pathology, Diagnostics, Data Science, Regulatory, and Biomarker Operations.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities- Independently analyze multimodal oncology biomarker data and associated clinical outcomes, including DNA/RNA sequencing, flow cytometry, proteomics, single-cell and spatial transcriptomics data, applying cancer biology expertise, rigorous statistical and machine-learning methods to generate biologically and clinically relevant insight.
- Integrate molecular, pathological, and clinical data to identify, validate and evaluate pharmacodynamic, prognostic, predictive, and resistance biomarkers.
- Leverage computational evidence to support the development of translational strategies, using working knowledge of trial design, endpoints, and treatment response.
- Use approved AI-enabled tools responsibly to accelerate analysis, coding, testing, and documentation while ensuring that all outputs are reviewed, validated, traceable, and reproducible.
- Collaborate with cross-functional study and program teams; clearly communicate findings, uncertainty, and limitations; and contribute to publications, presentations, and evaluation of emerging computational and biomarker technologies.
Required Qualifications- PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, Genomics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field, with 1-3 years of relevant pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience.
- Advanced proficiency in R, with experience in Python, wLinux/Unix, shell scripting, version control, and reproducible analysis of high-throughput sequencing and multimodal omics data.
- Demonstrated oncology translational or clinical-development experience, with strong knowledge of cancer biology, biomarker applications, and clinical-trial concepts.
- Strong statistical and machine-learning experience, including regression, multivariate data analysis, survival analysis, supervised learning, semi-supervised learning, unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning for the analysis of biomarker, assay, and clinical data.
- Ability to communicate complex analyses and their limitations clearly, collaborate across functions, and independently own defined study or biomarker-analysis workstreams.
- Demonstrated scientific accomplishments through peer-reviewed publications and scientific presentations.
Preferred Qualifications- Familiarity with CDISC SDTM and ADaM data models, regulatory clinical data management practices, and biomarker-data traceability.
- Experience with deep learning, multimodal modeling, or responsible application of foundation models or agentic AI to biomedical research.
- Working knowledge of IND and NME development and Phase 1-3 clinical trials, including study design, dose escalation and expansion, analysis populations, clinical endpoints, longitudinal and time-to-event analyses, and interpretation of biomarker data as decision-informing evidence.
- Experience supporting patient-selection, companion or complementary diagnostic, regulatory, or submission-related biomarker activities.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:$105,000 - $169,050
