Summary

As a Senior Scheduling Consultant, you will independently develop, update, and analyze construction schedules across multiple projects. You will assess field progress, evaluate project documentation and schedule data, communicate findings to stakeholders, and support resolution of schedule impacts and delay-related issues. This role requires sound judgment, strong client communication, and comfort working both independently and collaboratively.

This is an onsite position in New York City, NY.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain construction schedules, including regular updates and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform site inspections to evaluate progress and confirm schedule status.
  • Conduct forensic review of schedules and contemporaneous project documentation (including costs, productivity data, and relevant records).
  • Perform delay analysis to determine the cause, extent, and impact of delays; support resolution of delay claims.
  • Assess change impacts, extended general conditions, expediting expenses, and related schedule/cost implications; communicate conclusions clearly.
  • Prepare clear technical reports and deliverables for clients and internal teams.
  • Maintain organized job files, documentation, and project records.
  • Coordinate regularly with internal staff, contractors, and clients.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or equivalent field.
  • 5-7 years in a construction scheduling experience.
  • Holds a PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) certification.
  • Experience using critical path method (CPM) techniques to analyze construction project schedules.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Oracle Primavera 6, and ASTA Powerproject.
  • Previous experience or exposure to builder's risk insurance policies, construction claims management, and managing contractors.
  • Ability to travel as needed to project sites and client offices (approx. 25-35%).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team towards a common purpose.
  • Strong communications skills, with the ability to interface with various stakeholders and clients.
