Position Description:

CGI is seeking a high potential, Senior SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO) Consultant to join our rapidly growing SAP Practice. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering large scale digital transformation and cloud migration programs for our Telco, commercial and public sector clients.

As a Senior Consultant, you will act as a trusted advisor, working directly with client business teams to understand their complex financial processes, design modern solutions, challenge legacy ways of working, and configure SAP following industry leading practices
. You will be responsible for leading key project phases-from initial Fit to Standard workshops through configuration, data migration, and hyper care while helping mentor and grow our junior consulting talent.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Solution Design & Advisory: Advise clients on SAP leading practices and promote the use of standard S/4HANA capabilities following Clean Core principles
. Workshop Facilitation: Lead and facilitate Fit to Standard workshops with Finance teams to analyze current state processes, identify gaps, and design future proof target financial processes
. Hands on Configuration: Configure SAP FI/CO modules (including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Parallel Ledger, and Controlling) to meet business specifications.
. Integration Ownership: Manage complex cross functional integration points between Finance and other SAP domains such as Procurement (MM), Sales (SD), Project System (PS/EPPM), and external third party tools (e.g., Concur, Kyriba, Blackline)
. Business Process Mapping: Map client business requirements to SAP standard structures, establishing robust charts of accounts and controlling objects.
. Documentation & Quality Assurance: Create and maintain comprehensive functional specifications, process flow diagrams, configuration documentation, and testing deliverables in compliance with SAP best practices.
. Data Migration & Cutover: Support financial data migration, validation, and cutover activities, ensuring a smooth transition during go live and normalization phases
. Troubleshooting & Support: Act as the primary liaison for complex system troubleshooting, investigating and resolving critical software defects and system performance issues

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. Professional Experience: Minimum 10 to 12 years of overall SAP FI/CO configuration experience, with at least 5 years of dedicated hands-on experience delivering SAP S/4HANA implementations or transformations.
. Lifecycle Implementations: Strong track record of participating in at least 3 full lifecycle SAP implementations (with at least one end to end S/4HANA greenfield or brownfield cloud migration project strongly preferred)
. Module Expertise: Deep configuration knowledge in General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Parallel Ledger, and Controlling (CO)
. Frameworks & Methodologies: Experience working with SAP Activate methodology and designing solutions with a "Clean Core" mindset.
. Modern SAP Ecosystem: Good understanding of SAP Fiori, Group Reporting, or SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is highly desirable
. Integration Knowledge: Robust understanding of integration touchpoints across SAP MM (Procure to Pay), SD (Order to Cash), and Project System (PS)
Professional & Interpersonal Skills
. Education & Domain Expertise: University degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field
. A professional background in finance or accounting (CPA, CMA, etc.) is a strong asset
. Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex technical designs to business focused stakeholders.
. Problem Solving: Proactive analytical approach, with a proven ability to troubleshoot complex environments and provide clear, actionable architecture recommendations.
. Language Proficiency: Strong professional proficiency in English is required
. Bilingualism (English/French) is a strong asset (and required for Quebec based projects)

Preferred Assets
. SAP S/4HANA Finance Certification.
. Experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud (Private and/or Public Edition).
. Prior experience with specialized modules like REFX, BW setup, or Project System (PS)

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,000-$145,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
