Senior Sales Specialist (GTA Northwest, ON Region)
We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Senior Sales Specialist to execute sales activities across a broad geographic region to a designated list of retail, hospitality and vending accounts, build retailer relationships and networks, resolve complaints/issues, prospect for new business, manage inventory of instant tickets at vending sites all in an effort to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.
Note: Preference will be given to candidates who live within the territory.
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Field Sales, you will be empowered to:
Assist Senior Manager Field Sales, in developing territory profile strategies, including prospecting for new retailers and channel development, in order to boost sales and coverage
Manage inventory of instant tickets through proper allocation and merchandising of product at retail and in self-serve vending machines
Analyze sales trends in assigned districts and develop recommendations on retail promotions and sales to be submitted for the approval of Senior Manager Field Sales
Analyze retailer information, conduct a profitability analysis include ROI and breakeven analysis to determine entitlement for terminal allocation
Develop field level relationships with Corporate Account Area Supervisors and Managers to discuss and execute sales plans and initiatives
Manage store level complaints and implement corrective actions to ensure swift resolution. Proactively assess, clarify, and validate retailers’ needs on an ongoing basis to ensure their needs are fulfilled
Provide training to retailers on new processes, procedures, rules and regulations, sales promotions and contests, new product offerings to create awareness and ensure compliance to guidelines
Provide content and review all retailer publications, training material, promotional activities and new product/terminal training guides
Engage in special project assignments (managing account merchandizing plans and compliance, negotiating premium space, etc.) to promote existing/new channel development
Accountable for keeping merchandise and POS current and in good repair both at retail and in remote storage unit.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE GAME
Education & Experience:
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Customer Service, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience across the full sales lifecycle, including prospecting, needs identification, qualification, negotiation, upselling, and cross-selling.
Experience managing customer or key accounts, including issue resolution and relationship management.
Experience working with sales planning, forecasting, inventory management, channel management, or related business functions.
Experience developing and maintaining strong customer relationships while driving business growth and achieving performance targets.
Field-based sales or account management experience is considered an asset.
Relevant Skills:
Strong knowledge of sales management tools, techniques, and best practices, including key account management, demand planning, forecasting, budgeting, product allocation, channel management, and inventory management.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience using CRM platforms and GeoMapping tools to support account planning and business development activities.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Ability to travel frequently, including occasional overnight travel, throughout Ontario.
Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds.
