Description JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Safety Coordinator is responsible for leading and coordinating company-wide safety initiatives, regulatory compliance, training programs, and continuous improvement efforts. This position serves as a subject matter expert and strategic partner to management while maintaining a strong presence on the production floor. The Senior Safety Coordinator will be assigned a primary location while supporting safety efforts across both company locations. The employee may periodically travel to and provide support for other company locations as business needs require.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lead implementation and continuous improvement of safety programs and policies.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, local, OSHA, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments, inspections, audits, and corrective action follow-up.
- Lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis activities.
- Develop, update, and administer safety policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Coordinate safety metrics, reporting, recordkeeping, and compliance documentation.
- Develop and deliver employee, supervisor, and leadership safety training.
- Partner with department leaders to identify hazards and reduce risk.
- Support environmental compliance activities including hazardous waste management and reporting.
- Lead safety committees and employee engagement initiatives.
- Serve as backup and advisor to leadership concerning safety and regulatory matters.
- Support both company locations while maintaining primary responsibility for one assigned location
- Collaborate with Human Resources in planning, coordinating, and supporting company events, employee engagement activities, wellness programs, community outreach efforts, and employee recognition initiatives.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive safety experience.
- Advanced knowledge of OSHA and manufacturing safety regulations.
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- Experience conducting investigations, audits, and compliance assessments.
- Strong presentation, communication, and project management skills.
PREFERRED - Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
- Experience translating and interpreting safety policies, procedures, training materials, and employee communications.
- Multi-location manufacturing experience.
- Experience developing safety training programs.
- Forklift trainer certification preferred.
OTHER INFORMATION:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ABILITIES - Ability to lift 25 pounds.
- Frequently lift, push, pull, grasp, grip, walk, and stand.
- Occasionally bend, stoop, twist, kneel, crawl, reach, climb, and sit.
WORKING CONDITIONS - Work indoors or outdoors depending on assignment. Indoor environment: cold, heat, dust, fumes, airborne particles, minimal to moderate noise levels, machinery, and moving equipment. Outdoor environment: rain, extreme cold, wind, extreme heat, dust, moderate to loud noises, machinery, moving equipment.
- Safety requirements: safety glasses, hearing protection, protective footwear, and gloves.
- Additional protective equipment may be required depending on the task or job duty performed.
- Fast-paced dynamic environment.
