The Opportunity

Shape the Future of Mining Stability and Safety

Join a team delivering some of Canada's most complex open pit and underground mining projects. As a Senior Rock Mechanics Engineer, you will be a key technical contributor, leading geomechanical analysis and design across the full mining lifecycle-from early-stage studies through detailed design and construction.

Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will help develop safe, efficient, and innovative solutions in challenging rock environments while influencing project outcomes and mentoring future talent.

Your Impact
  • Lead rock mechanics analysis and design for underground and open pit mining projects across Canada
  • Design and evaluate excavation stability, including stopes, shafts, drifts, and slopes
  • Deliver advanced geomechanical analyses using numerical modelling and limit equilibrium methods
  • Oversee geotechnical investigation programs, structural geology assessments, and data interpretation
  • Guide project delivery by developing scopes, schedules, budgets, and technical strategies
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices across multidisciplinary teams
  • Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor on geomechanical risks
  • Contribute to technical innovation, continuous improvement, and industry-leading standards

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites
Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $135,200 - $179,100
MB & ON: $123,300 - $169,800
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $122,100 - $162,200
