Full Job Description

BRING YOUR RECRUITING EXPERTISE TO WORK THAT MATTERS

At General Mills, recruiting is more than filling roles. We connect talented people with meaningful opportunities and help our businesses build the capabilities they need to perform and grow. As a Recruiter on the Experienced Recruiting team, you will serve as a trusted partner to hiring leaders and HR partners across the enterprise-bringing market insight, creative sourcing strategies and disciplined execution to every search.

This is a full-lifecycle recruiting role for someone who knows how to find talent others may overlook, build credibility with business leaders and deliver results in challenging talent markets. You will recruit for a range of experienced professional roles, with particular opportunity to support supply chain, manufacturing and other hard-to-fill searches. You will also contribute to recruiting initiatives that strengthen our practices, candidate experience and broader talent strategy.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Lead full-lifecycle recruiting for assigned searches-from intake and strategy through sourcing, assessment, offer and close-while delivering a thoughtful, inclusive and candidate-centered experience.
  • Build and execute targeted sourcing strategies for difficult-to-fill roles, locations and talent segments using research, talent mapping, direct outreach, referrals, professional networks and other creative approaches.
  • Generate and engage diverse, qualified candidate pipelines, including passive talent, and develop relationships that support both immediate hiring needs and longer-term talent pipelining.
  • Partner consultatively with hiring leaders and HR partners to clarify business needs, define success profiles, calibrate assessment approaches and make informed decisions throughout the search.
  • Bring external market perspective to conversations about talent availability, candidate motivations, compensation considerations and competitive recruiting dynamics.
  • Manage multiple searches and priorities with strong organization, timely communication, sound judgment and consistent follow-through.
  • Advocate for candidates and hiring teams by setting clear expectations, maintaining regular touchpoints and proactively removing friction from the hiring process.
  • Use recruiting data, workflow insights and feedback to improve speed, quality, inclusion and the overall experience.
  • Stay current on recruiting practices, labor-market trends, talent personas and emerging sourcing tools; share insights and help the team continuously improve.
  • Contribute to team projects and enterprise recruiting priorities beyond assigned requisitions.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL
  • A demonstrated record of recruiting success in challenging environments, including searches where talent is scarce, competition is high or the role requires a creative sourcing approach.
  • Strong sourcing capability: you can research markets, identify high-potential talent, write compelling outreach, conduct proactive conversations and build relationships with passive candidates.
  • A consultative orientation and the ability to influence without authority; you ask thoughtful questions, provide practical guidance and earn trust with hiring leaders and HR partners.
  • Full-lifecycle recruiting experience, including intake, sourcing, talent assessment, interview management, offer negotiation and closing.
  • The ability to balance candidate advocacy with business needs while maintaining a equitable, consistent and inclusive process.
  • Strong communication, organization, prioritization and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfort using an applicant tracking system, sourcing platforms and recruiting data to manage work and inform decisions.
  • A continuous-improvement mindset and the curiosity to test new approaches, learn from results and scale what works.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 3 years of progressive corporate and/or search-firm recruiting experience, including proactive sourcing and full-lifecycle recruiting.
  • Experience managing multiple searches, projects and client relationships in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of progressive corporate and/or search-firm recruiting experience.
  • Experience recruiting in the consumer packaged goods, food, manufacturing or related industries.

  • Demonstrated success recruiting in complex or highly competitive talent markets.
  • Strong consulting and influencing skills, with the ability to partner effectively across levels and functions.
