Full Job Description
Proofpoint is seeking a Senior Recruiter to lead full-cycle recruiting for our Business Functions, with primary alignment to our Marketing and Customer Success organizations. This role is responsible for partnering with senior business leaders to develop talent strategies, attract top-tier talent, and deliver an outstanding candidate and hiring manager experience. The ideal candidate is a strategic advisor who combines strong recruiting expertise with business acumen, data-driven decision making, and a proactive approach to talent acquisition. You'll have the opportunity to influence hiring strategy, drive process improvements, and help scale two critical organizations that directly impact Proofpoint's growth and customer success. This role is onsite in Sunnyvale Monday-Thursday, reports to the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition and partners closely with executives, HR Business Partners, and cross-functional stakeholders. What You'll Do • Lead full-cycle recruiting for business roles across multiple functions and levels, from individual contributors through senior leadership. • Partner with hiring managers to understand business priorities, organizational design, and hiring needs, translating them into effective recruiting strategies. • Develop proactive sourcing strategies to identify and engage high-quality passive talent using LinkedIn Recruiter, networking, referrals, and AI-enabled sourcing tools. • Serve as a trusted talent advisor by providing market intelligence, compensation insights, competitive hiring trends, and recruiting best practices. • Manage candidate pipelines while delivering an exceptional, inclusive candidate experience throughout the hiring process. • Drive structured interview processes that improve hiring quality and reduce bias through effective interview design and interviewer coaching. • Build strong relationships across HR, Compensation, People Operations, and business leadership to ensure a seamless hiring experience. • Leverage recruiting metrics and analytics to identify opportunities, improve efficiency, and influence hiring decisions. • Continuously improve recruiting processes through automation, AI, and operational excellence. • Champion Proofpoint's employer brand while representing our culture and values throughout every candidate interaction. • Participate in talent planning, succession discussions, and strategic workforce initiatives as needed. What We're Looking For • 7+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a high-growth technology company. • Demonstrated success partnering with senior leaders and influencing hiring decisions. • Strong sourcing capabilities with experience identifying and engaging passive talent. • Ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously while maintaining exceptional quality and speed. • Strong interviewing skills with experience assessing both technical capability and leadership competencies. • Experience using modern recruiting technologies, ATS platforms (Workday preferred), LinkedIn Recruiter, CRM tools, and AI-powered recruiting solutions. • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and consultative partnership skills. • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to leverage recruiting metrics to drive decisions. • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining a high level of organization and accountability. Base Pay Ranges: SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area: Base Pay Range: 136,200.00 - 214,005.00 USD California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska: Base Pay Range: 112,700.00 - 177,100.00 USD All other cities and states excluding those listed above: Base Pay Range: 101,600.00 - 159,720.00 USD
