  • You're resourceful and know how to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive outcomes.
  • You exercise sound judgment and confidently recommend next steps in challenging situations.
  • You remain calm, focused, and solution-oriented when dealing with deadlines, legal matters, and complex customer circumstances.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Administer insurance claims where the Bank's security has been affected by partial or total property loss, ensuring appropriate use and distribution of insurance proceeds.
  • Partner with customers, insurance adjusters, builders, solicitors, and other stakeholders to support property repairs, rebuilds, and claim resolution activities.
  • Review maturing mortgage accounts to assess risk, determine renewal eligibility, and recommend appropriate renewal terms where required.
  • Provide expert analysis and recommendations regarding non-renewal situations while ensuring customers receive clear and timely communications.
  • Support the ongoing evolution of recovery policies, procedures, and guidelines to reflect regulatory changes, process improvements, and operational requirements.
  • Manage a portfolio of legal recovery files involving foreclosure and power of sale proceedings from initiation through final resolution.
  • Coordinate legal action with external counsel, negotiate payment arrangements, resolve title issues, and facilitate property sales or transfers to mortgage insurers.
  • Identify opportunities to mitigate losses by managing legal costs, protecting collateral, and supporting effective recovery strategies.
  • Complete loss provisioning assessments and provide insight into anticipated recovery outcomes, risks, and potential losses.
