The Senior Records Manager will play a key role in assessing, redesigning, and strengthening EDA's Records Management Program to establish standardized, sustainable records and information management practices across EDA Headquarters and six regional offices.
This position will provide senior-level records management expertise with particular emphasis on digital and electronic records, records inventories and disposition, National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) requirements, process standardization, and the development of practical policies, procedures, tools, and training resources.
BackgroundEDA administers economic development programs and grants designed to support economic opportunities and strengthen economically distressed communities throughout the United States. Its Office of Financial and Management Services (OFMS) is responsible for planning, executing, analyzing, and strengthening EDA's records and information management functions.
EDA is undertaking an initiative to assess and modernize its Records Management Program, including records practices at Headquarters and six regional offices. The effort will address records inventories, retention and disposition, digital and email records, electronic repositories, process documentation, training, and long-term program sustainment.
ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Records Manager is expected to:
Approximately 6 or more years of progressively responsible experience in records management, information governance, federal records administration, or a closely related field.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
Location and Work HoursThis position is expected to be primarily remote and may be performed from locations throughout the United States, subject to final contract requirements and Government approval.
The position will support EDA Headquarters in Washington, D.C., as well as regional operations in Philadelphia, Atlanta, Chicago, Austin, Denver, and Seattle. The PWS states that work is expected to be performed primarily remotely, with onsite support at EDA Headquarters or regional offices when authorized.
Normal work hours are expected to be Monday through Friday during standard business hours, excluding Federal holidays and Government-directed closures. Final schedules may be adjusted to align with supported EDA personnel and mission requirements.
Approximately 10% travel is anticipated based on current planning assumptions. Travel may include authorized visits to EDA Headquarters or regional offices for meetings, assessments, inventories, training, or other official program activities.
CompensationAnticipated Salary Range: $95,000 – $150,000 annually
This position is being recruited in support of a competitive federal contracting opportunity, and AES is continuing to develop its staffing, labor category, and compensation strategy. Because the position is expected to support a primarily remote workforce and qualified candidates may reside in different geographic markets throughout the United States, actual compensation may vary significantly based on location, experience, education, specialized records management expertise, applicable labor category requirements, and other business and contractual considerations.
