Compensation

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $103,600.00 - $172,600.00. This role is eligible for an incentive target of up to 15% or $, based on the achievement of individual and company performance objectives in accordance with the current terms of the incentive program which are subject to change.

Position Details

The Senior Real Estate Project Manager will develop, design and implement complex real estate development projects. You will lead and collaborate on cross-functional teams for the planning and implementation of initiatives providing facility solutions to company growth and change. This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week in the Lake Forest, IL headquarters.

You Will
  • Manage coordination of architectural and engineering disciplines as well as performing functions of estimating, budgeting, contracting, scheduling, bidding, purchasing and value engineering.
  • Substantially interface with architects, engineers, contractors, and all others necessary for the implementation of design and construction.
  • Use the company specific systems for managing all aspects of the project: cost estimates, budgets, schedule, change orders, value engineering, progress reports.
  • Develop project programming requirements and specifications with cross functional team members/business partners to achieve business goals.
  • Balance 5-10 large-scale projects at a time and deliver them within scope and on budget.
  • Communicate project updates to all levels of the organization.
  • Oversee construction of major facilities including Distribution Centers, Warehouses, Showrooms, and Office facilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse range of personalities.

You Have
  • 5+ years Project Manager with direct experience working with General Contractors and Architects (commercial or industrial) required.
  • Travel up to 25% is required for the position to various Grainger facilities.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD/ other related software and ability to read/interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Experience with site planning, environmental assessment, geotechnical, zoning, and property acquisition due diligence.
  • Construction management experience including preparation/administration of construction document, technical knowledge of building materials and construction methodology.
  • Planning and scheduling skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, consulting/construction contracts.
  • Working knowledge of construction billing and lien waivers.
