Where You Will Work Our corporate office is located in the
Denver Tech Center. Our office spans the top two floors of the building and features expansive views of the mountains and the downtown skyline.

Job DescriptionLeadership & Team Development- Lead a team of accountants, providing coaching, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth.
- Oversee staff management responsibilities, including hiring, training, evaluating performance, and handling promotions, terminations, or reassignments.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
Accounting Oversight- Manage accounting and financial analysis across areas such as auditing, budgeting, cost accounting, general ledger, program cost control, and scheduling.
- Lead complex Corporate Accounting functions, including accruals, debt, equity, cash flows, and real estate-specific accounting activities.
- Serve as a technical expert for advanced accounting matters, applying FASB guidelines, GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Real Estate - Ensure accurate treatment of real estate accounting, allocations, distributions, partner reporting, and consolidation considerations.
- Manage and oversee accounting processes related to property management, acquisitions, dispositions
- Process Improvement & Systems Expertise
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen accounting processes, internal controls, and data quality.
- Communicate updated policies and procedures across the Accounting team and partner departments.
- Act as a subject matter expert in the enhancement and development of accounting systems and software.
Financial Reporting & Analysis- Lead monthly and quarterly fluctuation analyses and prepare key deliverables for the Management team.
- Represent Real Estate Accounting as the primary contact for explaining results to FP&A, Operations Finance, and other business partners.
- Oversee preparation of financial schedules, supporting documentation, and management reporting packages.
SOX Compliance & Audit Management- Perform SOX control procedures, including walkthroughs and the preparation of audit support for internal and external auditors.
- Manage the overall SOX process for assigned areas and serve as one of the key leads for the annual external audit cycle.

QualificationsWhat You Have- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification or CPA exam eligible, strongly preferred.
- 6+ years of experience with complex accounting, GAAP and regulatory accounting, budgeting and financial management.
- Proven success with managing a team of finance professionals through ambiguity while still driving results.
- Prior experiencing working in Real Estate or Public Accounting (Big 4) industries is highly preferred.
- Confident communicator with the level of maturity and presence necessary to influence senior executives and business leaders.
- Thrives on driving innovation and change that will propel the business forward.
- Consistently practices strategic thinking and nimble problem-solving tactics to stay ahead of business priorities
