Full Job Description
Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an exceptionally talented Senior Radar/RF Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will perform modeling and simulation of defensive weapon systems used by peer and near-peer adversaries, with a focus on surface-to-air missile (SAM) systems, RF sensors, target acquisition and tracking, 6-DOF missile flyout, command and seeker endgame, network-centric warfare techniques, command-and-control (C2/C4), and advanced Radar/RF techniques.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software models that simulate or emulate real-world adversarial Surface-to-Air Missile (SAM) systems within TMAP STIMS 2.0, STIMS 3.0, and/or LIVE modeling frameworks.
  • Perform subsystem and system-level modeling and simulation based on all-source intelligence data.
  • Address intelligence gaps using expertise in weapon systems, waveforms, signal processing, probability of detection/intercept, electronic warfare, antennas, and electromagnetics; analyze and implement EO/IR techniques.
  • Develop algorithms and techniques for active and passive detection, signal processing chains, clutter mitigation, electronic attack, waveform selection and scheduling, and adaptive beamforming.
  • Conduct engineering analysis of real-world threat weapon systems, supplementing all-source intelligence assessments to inform the software model lifecycle, including development, maintenance, and study support.
  • Track and understand software model requirements to ensure alignment with customer objectives.
  • Analyze characteristics, capabilities, and limitations of real-world threat weapon systems and develop digital twin representations.
  • Develop software using MATLAB/SIMULINK, C/C++, and/or Python to create high-fidelity models and simulations.
  • Participate in technical discussions to support both near- and long-term planning for model development and integration.
  • Collaborate within a team environment and mentor junior and mid-level software developers.

Required Clearance:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active Secret clearance.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • OR Master's degree with 17+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with modeling and simulation of weapon systems, including Radar, Directed Energy Weapons, Surface-to-Air Missile Systems, RF Jammers, Missile Seekers, and/or Anti-Satellite weapons.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Experience with EO/IR systems.
  • Experience modeling threat weapon systems in TMAP, ODESSA, ESAMS, AFSIM, LIVE, and/or ITASE.
  • Experience with STIMS 2.0 (Simulink), STIMS 3.0 (C++), and/or LIVE modeling frameworks/standards.
  • Software development experience in a DevOps or DevSecOps environment.
  • Experience working in an AGILE software development team.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members.
  • Experience designing, developing, or operating code for distributed processing environments.
  • Experience working with environmental datasets and RF propagation.

Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Secret security clearance is required to apply, however, the selected candidate must be able to obtain a Top Secret SCI clearance prior to the start date.

This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.

Salary Range: $134,100.00 - $241,400.00

We value our employees and want our employees to take care of their overall wellbeing, which is why we offer best-in-class benefits such as medical, dental, vision, paid time off, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), 401(k), life insurance, flexible work schedules, and holidays to fit your busy lifestyle!
