We are seeking either a Senior Quality Engineer or Staff Engineer - Quality to join our team. While the final level will be determined based on experience and qualifications, both roles play a critical part in ensuring product quality, advancing manufacturing excellence, and driving continuous improvement across our operations.

What You'll Do...

Depending on your experience level, responsibilities may include:
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement
    • Lead and support initiatives that improve product quality, reliability, safety, and manufacturing performance.
    • Utilize quality and statistical methodologies such as SPC, SQC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, DOE, 8D, 5S, and Gage R&R to identify and solve complex engineering and quality challenges.
    • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions that reduce defects and improve operational efficiency.
    • Establish inspection criteria, testing protocols, quality procedures, and robust measurement systems.
    • Lead internal and external quality audits and ensure compliance with applicable standards and product safety requirements.

  • Engineering & Project Management
    • Lead complex projects from concept through implementation and production.
    • Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams to develop effective technical solutions.
    • Analyze technical data, evaluate alternatives, and provide recommendations that advance business objectives.
    • Manage competing priorities, timelines, resources, and project deliverables.
    • Mentor and develop engineers and technical team members across the organization.
  • Innovation & Technical Expertise
    • Research, develop, and implement improvements to products, processes, equipment, and technologies.
    • Serve as a trusted technical resource and subject matter expert within the organization.
    • Explore emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive advantage.
    • Influence stakeholders at multiple levels by presenting data-driven recommendations and engineering solutions


What We're Looking For...

Senior Quality Engineer:

Requires one of the following:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field) with 6+ years of engineering experience
    • Associate degree with 12+ years of related engineering experience.
  • Experience with advanced quality and statistical methodologies, including SPC, SQC, 5S, 8D, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, Gage R&R, and DOE.
  • Experience supporting internal and third-party quality/product safety audits and implementing corrective actions.
  • Analyze information and data and provide recommendations
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering science and technology, including the application of principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment in product design and manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of mathematics and statistics, including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, and their practical applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of design tools, techniques, and principles used to develop technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Advanced understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, quality systems, cost considerations, and methods for optimizing product production and distribution.
  • Proven ability to apply logic and analytical reasoning to evaluate alternatives and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage large, complex projects and deadlines with minimal supervision in both team-based and independent environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information effectively.


Staff Engineer - Quality:

Requires one of the following:
    • Master's degree in Engineering with 10+ years of related engineering experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 15+ years of related engineering experience
  • Experience with advanced quality and statistical methodologies, including SPC, SQC, 5S, 8D, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, Gage R&R, and DOE.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, organize, and manage complex, long-term R&D projects, deadlines, and deliverables in both team and independent settings.
  • Experience supporting internal and third-party quality and product safety audits, including corrective action development and implementation.
  • Analyze information and data and provide recommendations to advance projects and efforts through technical hurdles to achieve objectives
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering science and technology and its application to product design, manufacturing, and process improvement.
  • Act as a consultant and technical subject matter expert for management, technical staff, production staff, co-workers and cross functional teams using advanced professional knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines and mastery of company processes and technology
  • Strong foundation in mathematics and statistics, including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, and applied statistical analysis.
  • Advanced knowledge of design tools, techniques, and principles used to create precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Advanced understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, quality systems, cost management, and methods for optimizing production and distribution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical information, options, and solutions to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including creating reports, presentations, documents, and spreadsheets using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management certification, preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, Quality Management, or related professional certification, preferred.


Location: Mason, MI
Travel: Up to 40% Domestic & International Travel
  • Additional travel may be required during critical projects or business demands
