  • Identify, implement, and monitor continuous improvements to maintain ISO compliance.
  • Provide daily support to manufacturing on quality-related tasks and inquiries.

Senior Quality Engineer

What You'll Do

Working within a focus factory team as the Quality Engineer representative. Apply quality management techniques to ensure the organization meets its quality policy, objectives, and quality management system requirements to satisfy customers and other stakeholders. Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains documents to support assembly of Inventus Power products. Participates in new product development activities (NPI), relative to IQ OQ PQ and PPAP, as required. First point of customer contact on quality related issues. Supports supplier quality activities as required. Provides statistical information for quality improvement by gathering data on trends and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities (Including other duties as assigned)

  • Serves as the QA representative in NPI activities by assisting/guiding internal & customer team members through the applicable IQ OQ PQ &/or PPAP activities. This includes documenting & reporting applicable validation plans, protocols, control plans, gage studies, new procedures, results, etc.
  • Create applicable quality tracking reports, review quality trends, perform root cause analysis and institute corrective and preventive action for newly released and sustaining products until they achieve yield goals.
  • Interfacing with the customer & internal team members.
  • Serves as a key quality management system representative by administrating & overseeing ISO & other QMS activities.
  • Lead/coordinate internal and external audits and subsequent follow up as assigned.
  • Coordinate internal audit training, document control, and providing input into system risk assessments.
  • Add improvements and preventive measures to ensure conformance to ISO & other regulatory QMS requirements.
  • Responsible for providing daily support to the manufacturing team for quality related tasks/assignments.
  • Determine quality improvement factors and implement methods to inspect, test, and evaluate the reliability of manufacturing processes, products, and production equipment.
  • Ensure that processes adhere to quality standards.
  • Work with supply chain to provide supplier quality engineering support and establish supplier quality requirements.


What You Will Need

  • BS degree in engineering or equivalent in a technical field or equivalent industry experience.
  • 7+ years of increasingly responsible work in an electronics manufacturing environment. Experience in a high mix, low volume facility is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO quality, medical and military standards, and audits.
  • Experience with Quality Engineering tools (Control Plan, Validation, pFMEA, PPAP, test, and inspection strategies).
  • Working knowledge of SMT is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Working knowledge of quality/data evaluation programs such as Minitab.
  • Thorough knowledge of state-of-the-art inspection equipment & methodologies, quality assurance techniques, procedures, principles, and general business operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply statistical & other data analysis techniques.
  • Self-motivated individual requiring minimal supervision for day-to-day tasks.
  • Ability to lead/work in partnership with cross-functional teams and suppliers to achieve goals & objectives.
  • Ability to establish goals and objectives to complete projects.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information to team members, team leaders and top management.
