  • Conduct training sessions on quality control procedures and standards for construction staff.
  • Support the implementation of CAR and NCR based on audit findings with the Quality Manager.
  • Generate Non-Conformance Reports and coordinate resolution with teams and clients.
  • Audit subcontractor quality management systems for compliance with scopes of work.
  • Support the Quality Manager in developing the Project Quality Plan.
  • Ensure compliance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and maintain documentation.

Senior Quality Coordinator - Electrical

The Electrical Quality Lead is accountable for supporting the implementation and administration of the Quality Assurance Program to ensure services provided comply with the specified requirements.

This position will be for a project based in Kakabeka with a fly in 6 fly out option available.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Develop and implement quality control systems to ensure compliance with project specifications, regulations, and industry standards.

  • Conduct regular electrical inspections of construction sites to ensure adherence to quality standards

  • Create and manage project-specific quality plans that identify key quality control activities, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Work closely with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to address quality issues and ensure timely resolution of any problems.

  • Conduct training sessions for construction staff on quality control procedures, standards, and best practices.

  • Support the implementation of CAR, NCR required from audit findings, in collaboration with the Quality Manager.

  • Generate Non-Conformance Reports when required and coordinate with Bird team, Subcontractors, and Clients for disposition and closure

  • Audit subcontractors9 quality management systems for their specific scopes of work to ensure compliance

  • Support the Quality Manager in the development and implementation of the Project Quality Plan.

  • Create and ensure compliance to ITPs and maintain the supporting documentation.

  • Interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and craft during scope execution to ensure understanding and compliance

  • Work with engineering team to handle problems of technical nature arising during construction by issuing RFIs and technical queries

  • Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.


What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical construction projects, with a focus on the food and beverage industry.

  • Quality Assurance and Control experience.

  • Proficient with computer programs, including Bluebeam and Microsoft Office

  • Turnover experience is an asset

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and equipment.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing quality control systems in the construction industry.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
