Full Job Description
As a Sr. QA/QC Manager, this position is responsible for developing, maintaining and continuously improving the Quality Program. This position is accountable for the overall assessment of compliance and quality assurance/control for the execution of QA/QC Program, including managing, supporting process improvement initiatives, and reporting. This position also collaborates with the project team to ensure implementation of processes, ensure compliance and/or execution on timelines and quality deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops site specific QA/QC Programs as per contract requirements Develops Test/Inspection plans as per technical specifications
  • Implements the QA/QC Program and supervises the Quality Control Engineers I & II as well as the testing lab techs
  • Interfaces with the Client/Architect on approval of the Quality Control Program and related matters for the implementation and execution of the site specific Quality Control Program
  • Manages and spot checks field installations for compliance with contract documents Provides resolution of issues like punch list items and non-compliances
  • Provides a direct communication channel to the Project Director for concerns, observations, and good practices noted by Quality Control Engineers I & II as well as the testing lab techs
  • Participates in pre-bid and pre-construction meetings to review and set quality expectations
  • Leads pre-activity and weekly Quality Control meetings Implements Quality Control software like BIM 360 Field


Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering, Science, or related field
  • Minimum of 12-15 years' experience in a Quality Assurance related role with experience creating and implementing Quality Programs
  • Successful completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training required (may obtain within first year of employment)
  • Experience and solid understanding of design & construction Quality systems
  • Management, monitoring and audit experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and guidelines as applicable to design and construction field
  • Ability to interpret ACI, ICC, ASTM, ANSI etc. codes and standards along with local and state regulations and other applicable regulations, standards and guidance
  • Ability to identify and/or resolve quality and compliance issues with others in a proactive, diplomatic, flexible and constructive manner
  • Familiarity with standard industry documentation, training, and investigation practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to clearly communicate with clients and employees
  • Ability to build and lead high performing teams at the project and department levels
  • Basic understanding of Bluebeam and BIM 360 Field
