Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong application development expertise in Python and/or modern web technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting cloud-native applications in AWS, with applications hosted and managed on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS). The candidate should possess a strong software engineering mindset, be comfortable working across application and cloud infrastructure layers, and have experience delivering secure, scalable, highly available solutions in an enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, deploy, and support cloud-native applications using Python and modern web technologies.
• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Python, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript.
• Build and maintain web applications using frameworks such as Django, Flask, FastAPI, React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Deploy, manage, and support applications hosted on AWS and Amazon EKS.
• Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline, or Azure DevOps.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Work across application and cloud infrastructure layers to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available solutions.
• Develop and integrate applications with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance using cloud and enterprise monitoring tools.
• Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, deployment, and production issues.
• Follow software engineering best practices related to application quality, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Take ownership of assigned technical tasks and drive them through completion.
Required Qualifications:
• Strong professional experience in software engineering and application development.
• Hands-on experience with Python, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript.
• Experience developing modern web applications using frameworks such as Django, Flask, FastAPI, React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience deploying and supporting applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, DynamoDB, or MongoDB.
• Experience with application and infrastructure monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK.
• Experience using Git-based source control platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native application development and enterprise software engineering practices.
