Full Job Description
Nossaman LLP is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional to join its firmwide Business Development Department as a Senior Proposal Operations Specialist. This person supports the Firm's proposal efforts through opportunity identification, evaluation, proposal reporting, content management, research, and proposal quality review. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and committed to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. The position reports to the Proposal Manager and is located in our Los Angeles office.

The hourly range for the position of Senior Proposal Operations Specialist at Nossaman is approximately $43.59 to $48.72 an hour. The successful candidate's annual compensation for this position is reasonably expected to be set between $85,000 and $95,000 per year. However, actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including, without limitation, the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle request for proposals (RFP) intake and the go/no-go evaluation process, including identifying RFPs through daily reviews of procurement aggregation services, the Department inbox, and watchlist reviews, and distributing relevant RFPs for evaluation.
  • Maintain, update, and organize the proposal content repository, including proposal narratives, project descriptions, resumes, qualifications, forms, and standardized RFP responses.
  • Conduct client, industry, competitor, and market research and prepare reports to support RFP opportunities and strategic pursuits.
  • Maintain proposal tracking documents and reporting, including monthly activity reports, win/loss statistics, and other proposal performance metrics.
  • Lead proposal efforts during high-volume periods or when additional support is needed.
  • Serve as backup to the Proposal Manager, as needed.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of four years of proposal, marketing, business development, or related professional services experience. Law firm experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and public sector RFPs.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, including experience maintaining tracking systems, monitoring key performance metrics, and identifying trends.
  • Experience managing content repositories, proposal databases, or knowledge management resources preferred.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills, including strong reading comprehension, editing, and proofreading capabilities.
  • Strong research and information-gathering skills, including experience conducting client, industry, competitor, and opportunity research.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong client service orientation and the ability to organize and prioritize multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dependable team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively with others in a team-oriented environment while also being effective when working independently.
  • Flexibility to work beyond standard business hours, as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
