ASRC Federal AFSS is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management support for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are seeking a Senior Project Support Specialist to provide support to a NASA contract inGreenbelt, MD.

Job Description

Provide high-level Information Technology project support to NASA's HQ/GSFC Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) for a fast-evolving IT organization located at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). The selected candidate will contribute to mission-critical portfolio management efforts and executive support. This individual must bring a strong understanding of IT services, organizational dynamics, and business alignment, paired with excellent coordination and stakeholder engagement skills. The ideal candidate thrives in a complex technical environment that also includes critical non-technical personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver and coordinate high-impact projects and OCIO-wide initiatives, from concept to execution.
  • Provide comprehensive business and operational support to sustain efficient OCIO and organizational workflows.
  • Assist in reviewing information technology services for deficiencies and recommending necessary changes to senior leaders.
  • Create, update, and manage core OCIO documentation-including reports, presentations, procedures, service catalogs, and other critical reference materials-to ensure clarity, consistency, and organizational alignment.
  • Ensure configuration control and availability on databases and shared repositories to ensure accessibility and version control of organizational content.
  • Coordinate cross teams to standardize OCIO products and ensure all deliverables align with established branding and organizational guidelines.
  • Review, evaluate, and report to senior leaders on information technology objectives, goals, and accomplishments to ensure continued alignment with the broader business needs of the organization.
  • Additional duties as required.


Requirements
• Experience in IT information offices, program management, or strategic support within a large technical or government organization.
• Strong understanding of IT services, governance, and enterprise-level service delivery.
• Experience developing, tracking, and reviewing IT documentation and configuration management controls.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior officials.
• Experience supporting executive-level stakeholders with planning and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Must have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Able to work respectfully with all levels.
• Must have the ability to balance multiple priorities and respond / produce quality, accurate work efficiently with short deadline actions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job.


Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree and 7 or more years of experience or eleven or more years of experience in lieu of degree.


Location
  • Work is to be performed onsite at Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD or other NASA facility.
