Full Job Description
"Package Management" is the primary methodology Exyte employs after our Design team of System Engineers substantially complete the Basis of Design (BoD) / Conceptual Design. The entire project scope is divided into separate "Packages"- discrete scopes of work that are designed, bid, and awarded to sub-contractors. Package Owners are assigned to lead and manage cross-functional Package Team in all aspects of a Package (both Design Package and their related Work Packages) through project completion. In general, this role shall plan and perform work requiring sound technical judgment in the evaluation, organization, and execution of project management assignments. This role has the responsibility to perform the essential duties and functions as listed below with the overall objective of managing and/or coordinating project activities that are compliant with the contract and ensure the safety, quality, value, timeliness, and profitability of the completed project. Performing assigned general duties of limited scope and level of responsibility, this position is designed to develop broader project management knowledge and experience. At this level, the role may have the responsibility as the only Package Owner on a small size project with full accountability for the general duties, or the responsibility for general duties on a larger or more complex segment of a very large project. • Lead and manage cross-functional Package Team in all aspects of a Package (both Design Package and the related Work Packages) through project completion. • Primary point-of-contact for all stakeholders regarding all matters related to the Design Package and related Work Packages • Lead the detailed assignment / definition all Package Scope • Managing the development of, and changes to, Package-related documents in coordination with System Engineers and other Package Owners • Track and manage Package progress, including leading weekly updates of Package-specific data in Project database / controls platforms • Support the creation and coordination of project plans, procedures, schedules, and internal staffing needs. • Understand all Package / System inputs. Resolve ambiguities and/or gaps with document authors before beginning Package production. • Collaborate with Pkg. Team, System Engineer, and System Commissioning Lead to develop the Inspection and Test Plan • Lead the assignments of all Scope items to Design and Work Packages in EMP Scope Module • Coordinate status updates with Project Schedule Mgr. and Pkg. Procurement Lead. • Lead and manage finalization of Design Packages IFB, ensuring they are correct, complete and coordinated, and obtain all requisite internal and client Approvals prior to IFB • Confirm internal Pre-Bid Estimate of aligns with Bid Documents • Confirm the Work Packages Bidders List • Manage and coordinate RFI responses, issuance of Bid clarifications, and related meetings. • Manage and coordinate Bid Evaluations by Pkg. Team • Lead the determination of successful Bidder, and obtain all requisite internal and client Approvals prior to Award • Manage and coordinate revisions to Bid Documents as agreed in Bid negotiations and approved by PM • Establish the tracking of all requisite Work Package submissions and expectations in Submittal Register • Develop Work Package Kick-Off materials from Pkg. Team, Including Project BIM Coordinators. • Host Work Package Kick-Off Meeting • Weekly review of Submittal Register. Lead addressing / resolving issues with Sub-Contractors meeting submission expectations. • Manage and coordinate Pkg. Team's RFI responses, Submittal / Shop Drawing review, and inspection approvals • Primary Point-of-Contact for Sub-contractor • Represent the Package in Commissioning Core Team Meetings, and oversee the Pkg. Team's involvement in System Commissioning procedures • Manage the FMCS updating of Sequence of Operation (SOO) documents per design intent and actual condition, including review and approval by the client. • Arrange and manage Package site inspections, punch lists, System Tagging (OT, GT, BT). • Collect and submit all Package documentation to System Commissioning Lead and System Engineer, including but not limited to As-built documentation, and Operation and Maintenance Manuals • Oversee the Pkg. Team's involvement in Closeout procedure for the Package. • Ensure that all Sub-contractor deliverables are reviewed and accepted prior to project closeout. Minimum Required • OSHA 30 • Experience with multiple construction delivery methods (engineering, design/build, EPC, EPCM, CM) • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and ten (10) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements. • OR without a degree, 15+ years equivalent project site experience on semiconductor and/or pharmaceutical type projects • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors. • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines. • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner. Preferred • Ten (10) years of experience in engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction/construction management (EPFC/CM) industry including the performance of functional tasks on projects with a well-developed understanding of procedures and interfaces • Experience participating in risk assessments initiatives. • Previous successful performance in a similar position on a minimum of two (2) medium or large sized projects • Semiconductor construction project experience You want to be part of the Exyte team?
