Responsibilities

  • Manage interactions with regulatory agencies and develop mitigation strategies for environmental risks

Full Job Description
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Understand, protect and promote our empathetic, people-focused culture in all aspects of the business.
  • Understand and implement complex technical requirements for client projects to meet client satisfaction and ensure projects are delivered safely and within scope, schedule and budget
  • Perform budget development, management, and project invoicing
  • Serve as an inter-disciplinary team member in meetings and communications with clients pertaining to specific projects/tasks with concise communication and expectation management
  • Prepare and/or review work plans, specifications, sampling and analysis plans, feasibility studies, and remedial action plans for project implementation
  • Manage site redevelopment projects, with specific experience with the Florida Brownfields Redevelopment program, as well as local municipal programs
  • Coordinate project tasks with multiple stakeholders - including responsible parties, government entities, regulators, and public advocacy groups
  • Able to prioritize work, balance multiple projects, and pivot to address fast changing scopes to ensure actions and deadlines are controlled.
  • Lead environmental risk evaluations, prepare environmental permit applications (e.g., air permitting, wastewater discharge permitting, etc.)
  • Identify permitting requirements during site acquisition and due diligence processes
  • Manage regulatory agency interactions and develop mitigation strategies for environmental risks
  • Conduct analysis of environmental data from complex environmental and/or hydrogeologic investigations and develop technical reports
  • Maintain a high external profile through membership/attendance in industry organizations and continually growing a contact base


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental or Civil Engineering, or Geology - Advanced degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry, with relevant experience in environmental permitting and/or due diligence
  • Demonstrated success in project and client management
  • PE or PG license required, as applicable
  • Thorough understanding of U.S. EPA regulations, State environmental regulations for various states, and other standards/regulations affecting the regulated community
  • Experience with preparing regulatory work plans and reports for investigation, remediation, and closure; working knowledge of methods and procedures for site characterization, hydrogeologic analysis and remediation of contaminants in soil, soil vapor, indoor air; and groundwater understanding of multimedia remedial technologies for addressing a variety of contaminants
